Tafamuntbahn and the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße
In the summer, the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe is accessible via car or motorcycle via the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße. The arrival itself is an extraordinary experience as this road is not called the “Dream road in the Alps” for nothing. The magnificent mountainous backdrop of Silvretta and the Vermunt, Silvretta and Kops lakes, which the road passes directly by, cast a spell over visitors, whether driving or on foot.
The lakes of the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe are ideal for high-Alpine fishing excursions and the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe is also an experience on mountain bike. The Silvretta-Bike-Safari is especially popular with mountain bike fans. In addition, the Silvretta hiking area at the foot of the Piz Buin offers diverse tours and exciting views for nature lovers.
The Verwall mountains can be reached with the Tafamuntbahn, which only operates in the summer. After arriving at 1,550 m, an idyllic Alpine landscape with lush meadows stretches out before you. This is the ideal starting point for a family hike to Wiegensee - one of the last high moorland lakes in Europe.
