Ice-climbing

In the unique ice climbing garden in Vorarlberg

Ice-climbing in the spectacular mountain world of the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe

When winter arrives in the Montafon, it's time to unpack ice axes and crampons. In the newly built ice climbing garden on the Silvretta, beginners and connoisseurs can train and practice climbing on ice.

Advanced climbers will also get their money's worth on the partly vertical ice pillars. The up to 25 m high and about 35 m wide ice climbing garden is the first of its kind in Vorarlberg. From the middle of January the sun shines on the ice for a short time and you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere.

The climbing garden is right next to the Madlenerhaus and therefore easy to reach.
